The apartment is located in the heart of charming Hafnarfjord. With great ocean view overlooking Hafnarfjord-Harbour. Walking distance to Fjordur shopping mall and bus stop where you can find your way to down town Reykjavik in only 10min. driving.
The House/the apartment
The house is recently renovated in a beautiful way, charming villa with a beautiful garden, all modern interior, private suite with two bedrooms and sleeps four. Upstairs, on the main floor, next to the main kitchen, there is an extra room that sleeps two. Very well situated above the harbour, in the centre of suburban area of Reykjavik, Hafnarfjordur. Only few minutes away there are both outdoor and indoor swimming pools, Blue Lagoon within 20 minutes drive, beautiful nature and yet close to the city centre of Reykjavik. A bus to the international airport and to Reykjavik main bus terminal/ Reykjavik city centre stops only 2 - 3 min. walking distance from the house.
Guest Access
The guests have access to a beautiful garden with garden furniture, barbecue, gym equipments and big trampoline /playground . Guests have access to bicycles. We can arrange horse rentals in the neighbourhood with short notice and there is a golf course viewable from the house. Restaurants, coffee shops, book shops, banks, pharmacy, post office and supermarket as well as shops with Icelandic clothing (by some of our most talented young designers) and souvenirs, all within a few minutes walking distance.
Interaction with Guests
We are available to assist our guests as needed for planing of trips etc, in Iceland. We can recommend places to see, museums/galleries/shops and restaurants, close by and in the city centre of Reykjavík. We can also assist with booking and planning.
The Neighborhood
The neighborhood is charming, the house is in a group of beautifyully renovated houses. In a neighbourhood of interesting coffee shops, iceland-design shops both for clothing and souvenirs, a book store close by and a gallery, also bakeries, supermarkets, banks, pharmacy and a post office all within 5 min. walking distance. Yet the nature and a beautiful preserved natural area ideal for pick nick at the door step, with 360 view over Reykjavik urban area and the surrounding mountains and see. You can even see the powerful Snæfellsjökull glacier on a good day. Very close to the house there is a botanic garden.
Getting around
Only few minutes from the house there is a bus stop for the international airport and the Blue Lagoon, for the city centre/ and down town of Reykjavík and the main/central bus station with organized trips to where ever you want to travel in Iceland.
Other Things to Note
We can arrange horse rental, and costume made trips with a driver to the country side, for example focusing on photography, fishing, glacier trips etc. The house offers bikes for guests - the neighbourhood of the house is ideal for biking
